Experience a unique niche in Dakota Territory history at Historic Fort Sisseton. Step back in time with interpreters and tour through the 14 original buildings and museum. Summer living history programs depict blacksmithing, bread baking, soldiering, and carpentry int the post-Civil War era. The june Festival captures both historians and western romantics and transports them to the peak of the Fort's existence. Visit for the day or stay for the weekend, a campground and camping cabins are available.
