301 East Dakota Avenue Pierre, South Dakota 57501 605-224-9991 The Museum traces the beginnings of the South Dakota National Air and Army National Guard from the days of the Dakota Territory (1860's) to the present with an emphasis on various wars and conflicts, interpreting for citizens, veterans and young people the story of the South Dakota National Guard. Our goal is to create a better understanding, in the displays, of the significant role played by the South Dakota National Guard throughout history.The museum provides a repository for memoriabelia and historic documents pertaining to the SD National Guard.
