Buffalo Historical Museum and One-Room Schoolhouse
Highway 85
PO Box 391
Buffalo, South Dakota 57720
605-375-3800

Museum preserves local history from the cattle-ranch and homesteading eras in Harding County. The site features a one-room schoolhouse, built in 1914.

The Museum itself is housed in the old First State Bank Building, contructed in 1913. The Bank moved to newer quarters in 1967 and donated the old site so that the Museum could be launched. Since 1997, we have added two additions and now boast over 3000 square feet.
