Minnilusa Historical AssociationMinnilusa Pioneer MuseumRapid City South Dakota 605-394-6099 The Minnilusa Historical Association invites members and the public to the Annual Meeting to be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at The Journey Museum at 222 New York Street in Rapid City. A catered turkey dinner will be served in the Adelstein Gallery with the business meeting and program to follow. The cost of the dinner is $18. Make reservations by Wed., March 24 by calling 394-6099 or email minnilusa@earthlink.net. A short business meeting will include the annual report plus the election of officers and board members. Carol Evan Saunders, Minnilusa archivist, will present a program on noted Black Hills historical figure, Valentine McGillycuddy. |

Weave a beaded bezel to hold a sparkling crystal rivoli. *Student must be comfortable with peyote stitch. Felted Vases, Vessels, & Bowls. Create sculptural, seamless 3-D felt with wool roving and a variety of embellishments fibers, felt one-of-a-kind vessels to hold trinkets, chocolates, keys, or to simply brighten up any shelf. We’ll be working with water, so dress for a mess! (All fibers and a reusable felting kit included.) Friday, March 26, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Bring from home: 2-3 hand towels, 1 old bath towel, sharp scissors, Plastic bag to carry home wet items. Combine wool fibers and silk fabric into a felted table runner or wall hanging. Several embellishing techniques will be learned in class.
