South Dakota Community Foundation ConveningAssociation of South Dakota MuseumsThe South Dakota Community Foundation, Sumption & Wyland and USD's Government Research Bureau invite your organization's staff, board, and volunteer leaders to attend one or more of the nonprofit capacity-building convenings in July. The convenings will offer training opportunities and breakout sessions that are tailored to the needs of South Dakota's nonprofits. Topics to be covered include: --Marketing and Leveraging New Media for Nonprofits --Building Your Best Board of Directors --Developing a Fund Development Strategy --Knowing What Donors Want --Crafting Effective Grant Applications --Creating Strategic Alliances --Fostering Organizational Leadership and Development The six, full-day sessons are sscheduled for the following dates: --Sioux Falls, July 10th (The Ramkota) --Rapid City, July 14th (The Ramkota) --Kyle, July 15th (Oglala Lakota College) --Eagle Butte, July 21st (The Main Youth Center) --Chamberlain, July 23rd (Cedar Shore Resort) --Watertown, July 28th (Dakota Sioux Casino) Each convening will run from 9am until 4pm and lunch will be served. The convenings are FREE and financial assistance is available on a first-registered, first-provided basis to nonprofit organizations with representatives traveling more than 50 miles to attend.
